Former president Donald Trump is leading all 2024 Republican presidential polls despite facing 91 felony counts in four jurisdictions and a $250 million civil fraud lawsuit in New York.

Despite the mounting legal woes, Trump is barnstorming the country as he seeks to return to the Oval Office after losing to Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

Trump, while speaking at a rally in South Dakota over the weekend, took aim at his longtime Democratic rival on a particular subject: The state of his golf swing.

“Did you ever see his golf swing? He says he’s a 6 handicap. This guy can’t hit a ball,” Trump said to raucous applause from the crowd.

Trump owns several golf properties around the world and was a renowned golfer even before he won the 2020 presidential election. His love of the game didn’t stop when he entered the White House, with his time on the links often drawing criticism from Democratic politicians and their allies.

While Biden doesn’t own golf resorts and isn’t as well-known on the links as Trump, he too has played the gentlemanly game that used to be seen as too “elite” for politicians wanting to present an everyman image.

While Trump reportedly carries a 2.8 handicap, he has played golf since 1968. Biden only picked up the sport in 2001 when he served as Delaware’s senior Senator.
