Former president Donald Trump interacts with fans John Jones-USA TODAY Sports

Golf superstar John Daly is not shy about his political opinions. And he recently made it very clear exactly who he will be supporting in the 2024 presidential election.

During a recent interview with conservative commentator Tucker Carlson, John Daly had some high praise for Donald Trump, saying “I pray to God he wins” the 2024 presidential election and affectionately calling him “Daddy Trump.”

“He needs to win. I pray to God he wins. Just for the satisfaction of bringing our country back together, get some common sense going in here again,” Daly told Carlson.

“Look what he did. For four years, how great was our country the four years he was in office? And now look at it. Now look at it: no secure borders, inflation out of the roof. What the [heck] happened? Where did it go?” Daly said. “I mean, I was loving the four years that Daddy Trump was in [office]. And now it’s all gone to [heck]. In two years, three years. What happened?”

Daly went on to say that he and many of those involved with the PGA Tour predicted that the country would go downhill under Joe Biden.

“We all did. When Biden got elected – I definitely saw it coming,” Daly said. “A lot of our corporate people who were around and launched our tournaments – they all saw it happening. They knew it was going to happen.”

As Trump continues to campaign for the 2024 presidential election, he is currently facing 91 felony counts in four jurisdictions related to his alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election, which he lost to Joe Biden.
