Many know that PGA Tour golfer Rory McIlroy has ill will towards LIV Golf since they started poaching PGA Tour golfers for their tour so it’s no surprise that when asked if had to play for LIV Golf full time what his answer would be: No.

“If LIV Golf was the last place to play golf on Earth, I would retire. That’s how I feel about it,” McIlroy told reporters after the first round of the Scottish Open on Thursday. “I’d play the majors, but I’d be pretty comfortable.”

News dropped just a few days ago that LIV Golf was willing to give both Tiger Woods and McIlroy teams in order to talk them into playing but as you can see, nothing will change, at least for McIlroy.

Since the merger happened, several PGA stars expressed disappointment and were upset with the Tour giving in to LIV Golf after promising they wouldn’t.

And despite meeting with a LIV Golf official back in November 2022, McIlroy is still not sold on the idea of playing for the organization and clearly has taken a stance that no amount of money they try to give to him is not going to change his mind.

LIV Golf is mostly backed by the Saudi Arabian government and many feel is using the organization to sportswash their image because of the many atrocities they have committed.
