Tom Kim Tom Kim didn’t have the best round of his life on Thursday at the PGA Championship. It probably was his most memorable.

As Thursday’s play at the PGA Championship came to an end, the man who everyone was talking about was Tom Kim — and it wasn’t because of his placement on the leaderboard.

Kim completed his round at three-over, eight shots back of leader Eric Cole. So, Thursday’s round at Oak Hill wasn’t the best of Kim’s life. But it was probably the most memorable.

Playing Oak Hill’s sixth hole (his 15th) Kim had a messy adventure.

Kim went into a creek area looking for a ball. But the marshy terrain captured Kim, not unlike something you’d see with quicksand in the old Super Mario Brothers games. Fortunately, Kim did escape.

But when he finally emerged, Kim more resembled someone working a sewer at the end of his day than a golfer nearing the end of a round.

The Sky Sports Golf announcers did not fail to see the humor in Kim’s situation.

They were not the only ones.

When the round finished, Kim realized that his adventures were captured on television and were trending on different social media outlets. To his credit, Kim maintained a great sense of humor about it.

This is a PGA Championship memory Kim, as well as everyone who witnessed it, will remember for a long time.
