The Atlanta Braves have been one of the best teams in baseball this season, sitting atop the National League with a 56-27 record. This led to the team being recognized in a huge way when the MLB All-Star rosters were officially announced on Sunday night.

Given how good they have been as a team, it isn’t a shock that several players were named to the All-Star team. But many fans were completely shocked when they saw exactly how many players ended up being on the team.

The Braves’ entire starting infield of first baseman Matt Olson, second baseman Ozzie Albies, shortstop Orlando Arcia, and third baseman Austin Riley (as well as catcher Sean Murphy) was named to the All-Star game. On top of that, star outfielder Ronald Acuña and starting pitchers Spencer Strider and Bryce Elder were also named as All-Stars.

The grand total for the Braves was eight All-Stars, two more than the Texas Rangers, who had the second most participants for the American League with six. This sets a single-season franchise record for the Braves organization, and it is also the first time Atlanta has had its entire infield in the All-Star game.

Many around the MLB world took to social media to offer their opinion on this incredible feat by the Braves.

On top of this crazy honor, they also extended their winning streak to eight games on Sunday against the Miami Marlins. That win streak is the longest active streak in all of baseball.

It is certainly a great time to be a Braves fan.
