With the bases loaded and one out, Chicago Cubs pitcher Adbert Alzolay was just looking to make contact and drive in a run to give his team the lead. The sac bunt is the conventional strategy and the right way in this situation to get a run and take the lead. What happened was the absolute worst case scenario for the Cubs.

Yes, the Braves caught Javier Baez in a rundown from third base. Because of that, Wilson Contreras tried to get to third base and was called out. Not really sure what the Cubs were thinking here but things surely didn’t go to plan here.
