Ahead of Tuesday night’s matchup between the Chicago White Sox and Kansas City Royals, White Sox manager Tony La Russa was absent due to an undisclosed medical issue at the advice of his doctor.
According to a statement released by the White Sox, the 77-year-old skipper will undergo further testing in Chicago on Wednesday, with bench coach Miguel Cairo taking over managing responsibilities.

It’s safe to say that La Russa has been largely to blame for a lot of the White Sox’s problems this season, but many across social media are wishing him well.
I genuinely hope Tony La Russa is okay man.
Say whatever you want about him as a manager, I wish him the absolute best of health.

Hope Tony La Russa is ok. He met with the media earlier this evening and seemed normal. TLR is 77.
