The Chicago Cubs waited 108 years to celebrate a World Series championship, so a little rain delay before the home opener wasn’t going to dampen the mood for Cubs fans on Monday night. Unfortunately for David Ross, one of the lovable members of the 2016 World Series champions, he was unable to attend the event in person due to his appearance on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars.” Fortunately for Cubs fans, Ross was still a part of the opening night festivities during the rain delay.
As the Cubs had a tarp on the field and waited out some inclement weather before properly celebrating their long-awaited World Series championship, the team put “Dancing with the Stars” on the big screen so fans could cheer on Ross on the dance floor.

On the other end of this was Ross keeping tabs on the opening night celebration backstage when not on the dance floor.

On a side note, Mr. T was the dancer sent home packing on Monday night. Ross may be a beloved Cub, but he is from Georgia. Mr. T was born and raised in Chicago. On any other night, perhaps, Mr. T would have been the the fan favorite in Chicago. But this was no ordinary night.
