Saturday’s World Baseball Classic matchup between the United States and Great Britain has been a highly anticipated matchup for baseball fans. However, many put the actual game aside to comment on a less-than-stellar uniform design shown off in the game.

Great Britain is obviously not well known for its baseball talent, and their lack of emphasis on an eye-drawing uniform has certainly garnered attention.

The uniforms are far from impressive, pretty much having zero design with just a very bland name of the country on the front of the jersey.

This basic uniform has many blasting Great Britain on social media, comparing the uniforms to something you would see at a local little league field.

In comparison, the United States’ home and away uniforms both offer far better designs than the lackluster uniforms that Great Britain came up with.

To be fair to Great Britain, this is the debut of the country in the World Baseball Classic. It qualified for the first time ever for the event back in September of 2022 with a win over Spain.

Hopefully all of the harsh criticism they received from fans on social media will inspire them in the future should they return to the event in 2026. Regardless for the time being, they certainly look out of place compared to a traditional baseball powerhouse like the United States.
