The Code of Conduct here at The Comeback dictates that anytime Rob Gronkowski does anything in the offseason, we are obliged to make note of it. So when we saw video of the New England Patriots tight end throwing out a first pitch before a Boston Red Sox game Tuesday night, we were forced to adhere to the Code of Conduct.

Gronkowski was the honored guest of the Red Sox, given the opportunity to toss out the ceremonial first pitch. The Red Sox sent out David Ortiz to do the catching, and Gronkowski did toss a solid pitch down the middle. This being Gronkowski though, you know he has to add a little bit of his signature flair to the moment, and he delivered.

No jokes about deflated baseballs to be made here. Gronk delivered and avoided a total disaster so many before have had the misfortune of going through. Next up on the Gronkowski offseason tour? Well, there is still some time to kill before heading to training camp for the Patriots, so we’ll just have to wait and see what Gronk does next.
