Philadelphia Phillies star catcher J.T. Realmuto just went lift-off in Philadelphia.

Realmuto blasted a go-ahead home run that went 448 feet at Citizens Bank Park. The homer riled up the Philly crowd and sent the Phils up over the visiting Cincinnati Reds.

The mashed tater was a truly impressive blast. It soared in the air and went all the way into deep left-centerfield.

According to Sarah Langs, Realmuto’s moonshot home run is the second-longest home run of his entire career. He smoked one 456 feet on May 23, 2019, then as a member of the Miami Marlins.

The Phillies boasted with their chests out. “J.T. stands for JUST TELLING YOU HE’S THE BEST CATCHER IN BASEBALL,” the team tweeted.

When someone replied to the team saying that, actually, it stands for “Jackin’ Taters,” the team responded, “Why not both?”

Alex Carr pointed out it was Realmuto’s first home run of the season and that “he picked a good time for it.”

The “Would it dong?” account confirmed that the towering home run would have been gone in every single MLB ballpark.

Jeff Kerr of CBS anointed him as the “best catcher in baseball.”

There are only a couple of ways to really liven up and jazz up MLB fans. One way to do it is to hit absolute moonshot home runs. So, good for J.T. Realmuto.
