The Dodgers are the best team in baseball right now, and co-owner Magic Johnson doesn’t see any reason that will change before October. On Friday, he guaranteed the Dodgers will win the World Series this year.

“The Dodgers are going to win the World Series this year,” he said. “This is our year.”

Johnson was speaking at Clayton Kerhsaw’s annual Ping Pong 4 Purpose fundraiser. Kershaw is currently on the 10-day disabled list with a lower back strain. Johnson told the ace to get healthy after guaranteeing a championship. The Dodgers will need that to happen if Johnson will deliver on his promise.

The Dodgers have not won a World Series since 1988, which was also the last time they reached the Fall Classic. They are currently the World Series favorites with 3:1 odds from Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook.
