Earlier this week, superstar slugger Mike Trout went back on the injured list after briefly returning to the Los Angeles Angels lineup for one game. And with him now inactive once again down the stretch of this Major League Baseball season, one recent announcement from the superstar seems to have rubbed some fans the wrong way.

On Saturday, Mike Trout announced a big development on the golf course he is building as part of a partnership with Tiger Woods, revealing that the project has taken a big step forward.

“The wait is over. Excited to share the latest from Trout National – The Reserve. We’ve finalized course routing and are continuing to make progress on this unique and exciting project with @TigerWoods and @tgrdesignbytw,” Trout said in a tweet.

But this tweet didn’t seem to go over well with the Major League Baseball world as Trout was quickly blasted for the announcement with fans criticizing the superstar slugger for making this announcement and focusing on this project instead of his team.

People were especially frustrated with the tweet beginning with “the wait is over” given how long he’s been on the injured list this year.

It’s safe to say that the announcement didn’t go over well with the fans.
