Even though Mike Trout has emerged as one of the best and most dominant Major League Baseball players of his generation, the Los Angeles Angels have only made the MLB postseason once since he has been in the league. It’s led some to ponder whether or not the star slugger would seek a trade from the team to pursue a championship elsewhere, but it doesn’t sound like that’s what Trout wants.

During a recent interview, Mike Trout made it clear that he does not want to be traded from the Los Angeles Angels right now. He wouldn’t rule out seeking a trade in the future, but he said he hasn’t given much real consideration to it, calling a trade “the easy way out.”

“There might be a time maybe. I really haven’t thought about this. But when I signed that contract, I’m loyal. I want to win the championship here,” Trout said according to Los Angeles Angels beat writer Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com.

Trout went on to explain that he is pushing the Angels front office to make some additions to the team through free agency.

So while things may not have played out the way Trout would have liked with the Angels up to this point, it’s clear that he is going to try to stick it out.
