Spring is in the air and baseball is coming back. It’s bringing a good amount of entertainment this spring as well, including the Chicago Cubs’ Munenori Kawasaki entertaining his teammates with his vocal renditions of classic Aerosmith tunes.

Let’s give Kawasaki some props. He is still working on his English, which he admits, but that doesn’t stop him from busting out his musical side. And he may not be the world’s best singer — I know a few choir directors that would cringe with Kawasaki’s intonation — but sometimes you just have to let the music grab you. And who cannot respect that?

Of course, Kawasaki’s Aerosmith fandom can fairly come into question after this admission…

Nothing wrong with seeing Armageddon 33 times. It is one of those movies you probably stop to watch when flipping through the channels to see what’s on. Those viewings add up over time and the movie has been around for a while now. But his favorite Aerosmith song is “I Don’t Wana Miss a Thing?” No true Aerosmith fan would ever admit to that. Ever.

Regardless, we cannot wait to see more video of Kawasaki belting out lyrics to some of his favorite songs in the future.
