Noah Syndergaard

The Mets are currently engaged in a ferocious race for the second wild card in the NL, but that didn’t stop their only remaining healthy ace, Noah Syndergaard, from taking a little trip to the Cincinnati Zoo while the team is in town to play the Reds. And because this is the Cincinnati Zoo, well, you know what’s coming next…

What a day at the Cincinnati zoo with @dberni33 shoutout to @barstoolsports and @kfcbarstool for the shirts. #ripharambe

OK, just because the picture is censored, that doesn’t mean Syndergaard actually participated in the “dicks out for Harambe” meme.

Here are a couple photos that are not censored which shows Thor’s amazing shirt in more detail:

Thor has gone full Barstool Bro here, but going into the Cincinnati Zoo while wearing a RIP Harambe shirt is somewhat gutsy, all things considered.

Syndergaard starts Wednesday afternoon against Anthony DeSclafani of the Reds at the Great American Ballpark. Just behind the Mets clinching the NL East in Cincinnati last year and winning a dramatic play-in game at old Riverfront Stadium in 1999, Thor’s trip to the Cincinnati Zoo is probably the third best Mets moment ever in the Queen City.
