Shohei Ohtani is at the center of discussion right now, but not for anything good, unfortunately. The Los Angeles Angels superstar is dealing with a severe injury. An MRI revealed a UCL tear in Ohtani’s elbow, potentially signaling a nightmare scenario for the pending free agent. amid an unbelievable season

As far as 2023 goes, Ohtani needs to finish the season. Or, at the very least, a plan needs to be put in place. It seems clear that the Angels and Shohei are working out something. ESPN MLB reporter Alden González provided a significant update on Ohtani’s status with the Angels.

“Just said this on SportsCenter. Shohei Ohtani will be with the Angels in New York, and it looks like he’ll continue to hit while he decides the next course of action with his UCL tear,” González said.

It’s a relieving update for Ohtani, who at least won’t miss being able to hit. He swings a hell of a bat, especially when he’s on. And he has been on, putting up numbers worthy of winning the American League Most Valuable Player Award. The Angels have been assisted by Ohtani’s outrageous season, but only by so much. They’ve fallen flat, 10.5 games out of the Wild Card right now.

The MLB world had a lot to say after the Shohei Ohtani update was revealed.
