“Overrated” chants broke out about Druw Jones during a high school baseball game in Georgia (Jones’ Wesleyan HS vs Decatur), and the son of former MLB superstar Andruw Jones immediately showed that he’s quite properly rated.
The No. 1 prospect for the 2022 MLB Draft — according to MLB.Com and other outlets — demolished a 92 mph fastball from Brady Jones (Georgia State commit) for a home run over the center field wall.
Here’s video, via Will Hoefer of Prospects Live (who has Jones second on their draft prospect rankings):

(Update) And now a video featuring different angles, via Kiley McDaniel of ESPN:
Saw Druw Jones tonight (son of Andruw), my top prospect for the 2022 draft.
Hostile road crowd and faced 90-93 mph from Georgia State commit Brady Jones.
Amidst chants of “overrated” he hits a rocket dead central. Friend helped me with a side angle @espn @jones_druw pic.twitter.com/8huUGVhFUG

That’s how you quiet a crowd!
Jones is also viewed as the best defensive center fielder in the entire draft, which is surely making his dad proud. Andruw was one of hte best defensive center fielders of all-time (10-time Gold Glove winner), and like his son, had a knack for cranking dingers too (434 career home runs).
