Traveling on planes with young children is something that no parent enjoys doing.

But that’s what the wife of Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Anthony Bass recently had to do. While on the flight, one of their daughters made a mess of a popcorn snack that was thrown about the floor of the flight cabin.

That’s when Bass alleges that a United Airlines flight attendant forced his wife, in the 22nd week of her pregnancy, to clean the mess herself.

Bass later claimed that United Airlines provided the snack to huis daughter and that the airline is “taking care of matters with the flight attendant internally.” However, that was after Twitter users said flight attendants aren’t responsible for cleaning the messes of their children.

“Please promote the crew for holding parents accountable,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“As someone who has definitely traveled with two small kiddos cross country by myself before…the rule is clean up after your own gremlins,” a woman wrote with a picture of her traveling with small children.

“The flight attendant was making sure the next passengers had a tidy seating area for their flight, but Karen thinks they should get down on their hands and knees to clean up after everyone’s kids or get fired,” one commenter wrote.

“The entitlement is strong in this family,” wrote another fan.
