As a rookie, if you want to earn the love and adoration of your new fans, you’ve got to play the right hits. It turns out that Amen Thompson might already be ahead of the game.
The Houston Rockets drafted Thompson 4th overall in last Thursday’s NBA Draft. He’s a capable 6-foot-7 athlete who played with Overtime Elite and the City Reapers before the Rockets drafted him. The Fort Lauderdale native played the right notes on Monday as the team introduced its newest draftees. In this case, that context was the price of NBA League Pass.

It’s safe to say that Amen had people saying, “Amen!” on Monday. League Pass and other streaming service prices have been set awfully high. You need to pay a lot of money to follow your favorite team, no matter the sport. So all that Thompson is doing is repeating many complaints that others share themselves.
We’ll see what he has in store for us next time if he has any other ideas.
