The Milwaukee Bucks made a massive move this offseason to acquire star point guard Damian Lillard, a move that has many viewing the team as an NBA championship contender. And it seems like this move is enough to make Giannis Antetokounmpo want to stay in Milwaukee for the foreseeable future.

There were questions about whether Milwaukee would be the long-term home for Antetokounmpo. Since their championship victory in 2021, the Bucks have fallen short in the postseason numerous times.

Those questions were answered on Monday, as Antetokounmpo signed a massive extension. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Antetokounmpo agreed to a three-year $186 million extension with the Bucks.

It’s obviously huge news for Bucks fans, who expressed their excitement on social media.

Antetokounmpo was obviously happy about the extension, sharing a message to Bucks fans on social media shortly after inking the new deal.

With this move, the Bucks officially have both Lillard and Antetokounmpo signed through the next four seasons. That’s obviously a scary sight for fellow Eastern Conference teams.

It’s obviously unclear what the chemistry will look like between the two. We still haven’t seen them on the court together in an NBA regular season game.

However, if the two do play well together, then the Eastern Conference will likely be under the Bucks’ control for quite some time…
