NBA commentators Charles Barkley and Grant Hill seem to have a friendly rivalry off the set when it comes to their respective golf games.
Apparently, Barkley played golf with two-time Super Bowl quarterback Peyton Manning while they were in Denver for the NBA Finals between the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat.
But apparently, Hill has been giving Barkley a hard time about his golf swing. And Hill keeps FaceTiming Barkley with videos of how smooth his own golf swing is. On NBA TV’s pregame studio show Thursday, Barkley got tired of that and called Hill out about it.

Barkley thinks men shouldn’t FaceTime each other.
“You be sending me videos of your swing … He FaceTimed me, Dudes don’t FaceTime each other. That’s inappropriate,” Barkley said.
This was one of several funny moments on Thursday’s show, which also included a segment with Barkley (seen at top at a LIV Golf event in 2022) and Hill donning oxygen masks around discussion over Denver’s elevation (5,276 feet above sea level). That segment was even taken seriously by The Daily Caller and some others. The FaceTime discussion didn’t create as much controversy, but it was humorous in its own right. And it speaks to why Barkley and Hill are amongst the commentators NBA TV is using for their Finals coverage, and why they (and other NBA on TNT figures, including Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith) haven’t been able to head out on a full summer vacation just yet.
