Cleveland Cavaliers President of Operations Kolby Altman is in trouble with the law.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol on Saturday announced that troopers stopped Altman just before 9 p.m. on Route 2 near East 55th Street in Cleveland on suspicion of drunk driving.

Peggy Gallek and Ed Gallek of Fox8.com in Cleveland broke the news.

“Troopers initiated a traffic stop and during their interaction with the driver indicators of impairment were observed. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for OVI and soon after offered a breath test which he refused,” the Ohio Highway Patrol said in a statement.

According to the report, Troopers charged Altman with “committing a marked lanes violation and OVI.”

The Cavaliers did not immediately respond to Fox 8 I-Team’s request for comment on the arrest.

The State Highway Patrol, however, noted that Altman was respectful during his arrest.

“Throughout the traffic stop, Altman was respectful and cooperative with troopers,” the Highway Patrol said in the statement.

Altman is a former college point guard for Middlebury College. He made stops at Amherst, Southern Illinois, and Columbia during his career as an assistant basketball coach.

The Cavaliers named him general manager in 2017, and he was just one of four Black American general managers in the league. He is also one of the few who is Jewish.

The NBA world was quick to react:
