The Los Angeles Lakers signed Timofey Mozgov to a huge contract and Conan O’Brien’s protest group is not happy about it!

With the Republican National Convention setting up shop in Cleveland this week, a former Cavalier happened to be a good source of material for a mock protest group set up by the late night television host (you can watch him on TBS these days, in case you forgot). Timofey Mozgov, a role player who signed a four-year contract valued at $64 million during this season’s free agent signing period, was the subject of one poster being held up by a member of Conan’s protest group.

Conan’s organized protest group was mocking the protests organized by the Westboro Baptist Church by imitating their main messages and poster style, but by adding a bit of humor to the presentation. The anti-Mozgov signing poster was the only sports-related poster seen online, as the other posters made visible claimed God hated bangs and morning people. Hey, everybody is entitled to protest something.

As a Phillies fan, I would have joined Conan’s army of protesters holding up a sign ripping Ryan Howard’s contract with the Philadelphia Phillies, although that is coming up on its expiration date in… [double checks Howard’s contract status]… 2017. 2017?! Get me some poster board and a ticket to Cleveland. I have a contract to protest!
