Draymond Green hasn’t played in a game since Jan. 9 as he’s nursed an injury. But it won’t be much longer before the Golden State Warriors and their fans see Green back on the floor.
On Monday, Warriors coach Steve Kerr said that Green’s return was near, but wouldn’t name a date. Not too long after, Draymond himself spoke on his injury and said the game on Monday, March 14 against the Washington Wizards was his targeted return date.
Sources say @Money23Green is targeting March 14 to make his return against the Wizards.

If true, that will help make for a happy birthday present for one of Green’s teammates, Steph Curry.

The return of Green will be welcome to the Warriors.
Golden State won the game Draymond was injured in to move its record to 30-9. Entering Monday’s game with the Denver Nuggets, the Warriors were 43-21, or 13-12 in the games without Green. More pressing, they’d lost eight of their previous 10 games.
Despite those struggles, Golden State entered Monday’s action as the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference. With that, the Warriors still figure to be a factor come playoff time.
Adding Green to the lineup will only help that. Better yet for Golden State, if he does have any rust to be worked off, he should have plenty of time to do so before the postseason begins in April.
