Some very unfortunate details emerged on Thursday about the arrest of former NBA guard Eric Bledsoe following a disturbing altercation with his girlfriend on Wednesday.

According to TMZ, Bledsoe was arrested after officers responded to a call about a domestic incident Wednesday night.

The victim claims that Bledsoe slapped her, which led to an investigation into the incident. Bledsoe was ultimately arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic violence.

TMZ also shared an Instagram photo by Bledsoe’s girlfriend that has since been deleted that appears to show a red mark on her face from the alleged attack.

With this post, she added a caption reading “NO RELATIONSHIP LIKE THIS IS EVER WORTH STAYING IN”.

She also unfortunately added in that post that this is not the first time this type of incident had occurred in their relationship.

This disturbing incident also occurred just hours after reports emerged of Bledsoe signing with the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association.

Eric Bledsoe had a solid career in the NBA after being selected by the Oklahoma City Thunder with the 18th pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. He also played for the Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns, Milwaukee Bucks, and New Orleans Pelicans throughout his 12-year career.

This is the first year that he has not been in the NBA since being drafted, and that may have played a role in his seemingly deteriorating personal life leading to this ugly incident.
