Hassan Whiteside has been a very solid contributor for the Miami Heat this season. Averaging 12.2 PPG and 11.1 RPG, the Heat can hardly afford not to have him on the floor as they battle for playoff positioning.

Of course, having Whiteside on the floor presents problems as well. Namely, that he’s very likely to do something that’s going to get him thrown out of the game or even suspended. In March of last year, following a suspension over blindsiding Boston’s Kelly Olynyk, he made a promise:

“I just had a lot going on in my personal life. I don’t really want to speak on it. It won’t happen again.”

Guess he’s got a lot going on in his personal life again.

That’s Spurs rookie Boban Marjanovic on the receiving end of an elbow to the head. Despite pleading his case to refs, Whiteside was ejected from the game. He finished with 14 points and six rebounds. The Spurs went on to win the game, 119-111.
