Things have been going well for the Boston Celtics (40-22), who sit just three games behind the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Eastern Conference’s top seed. And things have been going terribly for the Los Angeles Lakers, who currently have the worst record in the Western Conference and the second-worst record in the NBA.

These trends did not change on Friday night in Los Angeles. The Celtics blew out the Lakers 115-95, and the game was never close, with the Celtics up 25 points at halftime.

And in the second half, the Celtics had some fun.

In the third quarter, NBA MVP candidate Isaiah Thomas made an off-the-glass pass to Jaylen Brown, who then threw down a nice dunk:

An even more incredible play came in the fourth quarter, when Brown caught an alley-oop pass with his left hand, before switching to his right hand in mid-air, and finishing a ridiculous and-one play:

Brown also had this nasty spin move and dunk in the first half:

That incredible athleticism is a huge reason why the Cal product was selected by the Celtics third overall pick in the 2016 draft. The 20-year-old finished with 16 points, and has now scored at least 13 points in four of his last five games.

If Brown is starting to figure it out, the Celtics are going to be even more dangerous, and perhaps a real threat to the Cavs.
