Kemba Walker is having an outstanding season and he’s launched a faux political campaign in an attempt to gain recognition for it.

Walker has teamed up with his Charlotte Hornets to launch the Win With Walker campaign. The Hornets have launched a website and created some clever ads to promote the point guards Most Improved Player bid.

The club launched a great video parodying political ads filled with the cliche shots you’d expect to see, including a farmer working on a farm, Walker at a construction site in a hard hat and Walker kissing a baby on the campaign trail. Walker’s teammates even make cameos, including Marvin Williams appearing as ‘a concerned citizen,’ Jeremy Lin as a ‘merchandise truck manager,’ and Nicolas Batum as the ‘French Ambassador to Buzz City.” The video is extremely well done.

The Hornet have actively promoted the campaign across their social media.

They’ve even created Walker campaign swag.

Walker and the Hornets have really gone all-out on the campaign as this isn’t something that was just thrown together, clearly a ton of effort has been put into the MIP bid.

The 25-year-old is certainly a worthy candidate for the award, as he’s having a career year. Walker’s increased almost every stat line this season, putting up career highs in points (21.2), rebounds (4.5) and shooting percentage from both the field (.429) and the three (.378), while leading the Hornets back to the playoffs.

Walker’s got some tough competition as Portland Trailblazers guard C.J. McCollum appears to be the favorite for the trophy, but hopefully, Walker’s campaign can earn him a few extra votes considering it’s so well done.
