The 2023 ESPYS took place on Wednesday which featured Los Angeles Lakers LeBron James receiving an award for breaking the all-time scoring record of Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Savannah James, LeBron’s longtime wife, spoke about LeBron’s impact on the game, and stole the show.

Savannah took the stage to talk about her husband alongside all three of their children, and their family quickly captured the hearts of sports fans with a hilarious moment.

As she talked about LeBron, she got a little carried away and almost used some colorful language in a positive way, only to be stopped by her daughter Zhuri James.

“As the ESPYS honor LeBron for breaking the NBA’s all-time record, I decided that I wanted to tell you what I think. I think LeBron James is the baddest mother…,” Savannah said as Zhuri stopped her.

This got a good laugh out of the crowd in attendance, and certainly garnered some laughs from fans at home on social media as well.

She then continued her speech, saying that she believes her husband is the “baddest” to step on a basketball court.

“I think LeBron James is the baddest to ever step foot on a basketball court. Nobody works harder, nobody cares more, and nobody has done more for the game of basketball than LeBron James.”

While the second part of her speech can certainly be debated, it is certainly not debatable that Savannah James has a lot of love and admiration for her husband.

Luckily for her, and every other fan of LeBron, LeBron officially revealed at the ESPYS that he will be returning to play in the NBA for his 21st season next season. He will have yet another chance to prove that he is the “baddest” basketball player of all time.
