Sixers' coach Brett Brown gets covered in chocolate milk.

Tuesday night saw the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Miami Heat 104-91 to win their first playoff series since 2012, a remarkable turnaround for a team that was 10-72 two seasons back and 28-54 last year. And coach Brett Brown celebrated in style with the team, first giving a motivational speech, then handing the celebratory bell to J.J. Redick to ring, only for Redick to return it to Brown to congratulate him for his first playoff series win as a head coach. That led to the team dousing Brown in chocolate milk (apparently a regular thing for them), and chanting “Ring that bell! Ring that bell! Ring that f***ing bell!” and him responding “Let’s ring the f***ing bell!”and doing just that:

That is a very enthusiastic team, and deservedly so. They not only won the franchise’s first series in a long while, they were dominant in doing so, knocking off the Heat in five games and posting wins by 27, 20, four and 13 points. (And their one loss, in Game 2, came before star center Joel Embiid was able to return to action from an orbital fracture.)

And the Sixers look to be set for plenty of success ahead, whether that’s this year or in the years to come. At any rate, they certainly pulled off something memorable this year. And that was not just with a 52-30 regular season, but now with a playoff series victory. Now that’s worth some chocolate milk.
