The NBA All-Star Game takes a lot of flak because no one cares about playing defense, like, at all. At least not until the final quarter (or the final parts of the final quarter, anyway, assuming the score is relatively close.)

But sometimes that’s okay, because getting to watch some of the best and most creative athletes in the world go nuts is fantastic in its own way. Tonight’s game had already given us Dirk turning back the clock, and then it provided us a Steph Curry bounce lob to Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The bench explosion really sells the insanity; this is an All-Star Game, featuring guys who have seen plenty of monster dunks their whole lives, and it still drew everyone onto the court.
