Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic is one of the best players in basketball, averaging close to a triple-double (20.2 points, 10.2 rebounds, 6.9 assists), and with a 25.08 Player Efficiency Rating that ranks eighth in the NBA. But it seems that Jokic is still not satisfied, and wants to do everything possible to improve himself in hopes of leading the Nuggets to their first title in franchise history.
Jokic has lost *a lot* of weight with the time off during the COVID-19 pandemic ahead of the 2019-20 season resumption (which the NBA now hopes is on July 30).

As Seth Rosenthal once beautifully tweeted, Jokic “plays every minute as if he’s wearing flip-flops yet is a borderline MVP.”

Well, with the weight loss, maybe Jokic will add improved athleticism to go with the elite craftiness. And the idea of the seven-footer getting better is a scary thought, especially for the rest of the Western Conference.
Jokic and the Nuggets currently have the third-best record in the West, at 43-22.
