The Minnesota Timberwolves were just involved in a skirmish on the sideline that’s going viral.

Timberwolves star Rudy Gobert appeared to take a serious swipe at teammate Kyle Anderson on the bench. Gobert, Anderson, and other teammates were huddled up on the side. The two players were talking to each other when Gobert suddenly stepped up and swung at Anderson.

The team swiftly sent Gobert home after he threw the punch according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The video of the shocking altercation between Gobert and Anderson went viral quickly.

Christopher Hine noted a conversation he had with Gobert about Anderson, which was quite a coincidence considering the situation.

“Oh my Rudy Gobert just threw a punch at his own teammate Kyle Anderson,” Kevin O’Connor tweeted.

Field Yates tweeted, “Other than their team chemistry eroding and trading away 3 useful veterans, 4 1st round picks, a pick swap and Walker Kessler and owing Gobert another $200M, this trade is working out great.”

One user jokingly guessed Kyle Anderson said, “Bagels are better than croissants” to the Frenchman Gobert.

“This seems…not ideal, considering the timing,” Chris Long of KSTP said.

There’s never a great time to be having a fight among teammates. Having a fight in the last game of the NBA season? That’s one way to sour everyone going into next year.
