Things didn’t go well for Bret Bielema’s Arkansas Razorbacks last night in their 49-30 loss at home to Alabama. Many Razorback fans were obviously displeased with the team’s performance, and a few of them made sure to let Bielema know about it.

Drunken fans cursing at coaches and players is normally not a story, but it becomes a story when said drunken fan is actually a professor at the University. The angry fan (and nutty professor) has been identified as Lawton Lanier Nalley, an assistant professor of agricultural economics and business at the school. He told Bielema, while obviously plastered, that if he had a resume like his he’d be fired. Nalley might want to start thinking about updating that resume of his quickly.

When Nalley refuses to calm down and listen to police, he was promptly arrested and charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct. Nalley holds degrees from Ohio State, Mississippi State and Kansas State, and his official biography notes that his, “current research emphasis is on international agricultural policy, the economics of public plant breeding, and international development.”

Remember: in the SEC, “it just means more.”
