FSU Softball Credit: ACC Network

Michaela Edenfield has prided herself as a slugger this season. The Florida State Seminoles catcher just went deep again with an incredible, towering home run.

Edenfield launched one on the road against the 15th-ranked Blue Devils. She squared up and smoked the pitch all the way over the cameramen deep in the outfield and on the grassy hill outside Duke Softball Stadium.

“AREA 51 TO DEEP CENTER AND LOOOOONNGGGGG GONE” the FSU Softball account excitedly tweeted.

Edenfield came into the game with four home runs, 1/4th the amount that she hit last season. She’s crushing the ball at will and a lot of her home runs haven’t been cheapies. Nope, she’s blasted the ball off this year.

FSU fans and the rest of the college softball world certainly loved what they saw.

Michaela’s sister Aleisha congratulated her on the home run.

One fan tweeted a UFO emoji and a BOOM emoij. Area 51 and all!

“Glad to see it!” said ChopChat.

“Take some notes baseball. These ladies can play,” another Noles fan tweeted.

The seventh-ranked Florida State softball team is 24-6 on the season as they enter weekend play against the Blue Devils. FSU opened ACC play last weekend with a sweep of the Syracuse Orange. They outscored the Orange 23-1 in the series and have already jumped out to the races against Duke.
