You don’t often see softball scores balloon every day, certainly not quite like they did for the Missouri Tigers.

The Tigers, fresh off a series victory over second-ranked LSU, stayed on Tuesday with a prolific, prodigious, and downright ridiculous effort.

Mizzou won 20-0 (!) over Fordham on Tuesday afternoon, keeping its winning streak going. Mizzou’s softball account on X boasted about the big win—emphasis on big.

“That’s a game one run-rule WIN to open our Tuesday!!” they said. That’s one way to put it.

Pitcher Ciera Harrison, pictured in the photo above, pieced together an incredible pitching performance in the circle. Mizzou Softball noted that Harrison “twirled a gem” as she allowed no runs, one hit, threw six strikeouts, and earned her tenth win through just 4.2 innings pitched.

The Tigers are in the midst of a terrific 2024 season. Mizzou is 26-7 on the season, and while they’ve seen SEC play prove competitive, they’re still among the best of the bunch. You don’t knock off the second-ranked team in the land if you aren’t worth a salt, after all.

Mizzou softball is playing the back half of a doubleheader currently and hopes to propel themselves up further. They resume SEC play next weekend when they play the rival Arkansas Razorbacks.
