Donald Trump facing 91 felony counts in four jurisdictions across America and a $250 million civil lawsuit in New York hasn’t stopped the former president from leading all polls for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024.
Trump is looking to repeat his success in Iowa, starting when he finished a surprise second place to Texas junior Senator Ted Cruz in 2016, losing by a mere 6,000 votes.
According to a poll run by Public Opinion Strategies released in late August, Trump currently leads his biggest rival, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, by 20 percentage points in the Hawkeye State.
But that hasn’t stopped the former president from campaigning in the important primary state. According to Action Network college football insider Brett McMurphy, Trump will attend this year’s annual clash between Iowa’s predominant college football programs.

The two teams first met in 1932 and battle for the Cy-Hawk Trophy, which is awarded to the winner of each game and named after the team’s mascots, Cy the Cardinal and Herky the Hawk.
While the Hawkeyes have won six of the last seven games of the series, the Cyclones shocked many observers last season by defeating the Hawkeyes, 10-7, in Iowa City.
The college football world was quick to react to the shocking news:
