The Florida State Seminoles’ trip to the Women’s College World Series is off to a stirring start. FSU Softball jumped out to a 2-0 record in the double-elimination event and is knocking on the door of getting to the Championship Series. The ‘Noles won their Saturday night matchup with the Washington Huskies in amazing fashion.

Josie Muffley climbed the elevator and picked off a line drive that was sure to head to the outfield. If that weren’t enough, Muffley quickly made a heads-up play and tossed the ball to second base to double the Huskies off and end the game!

The FSU Softball Twitter account understandably went bananas following the incredible play. “NOLES WIN NOLES WIN NOLES WIN” they excitedly proclaimed.

The incredible play caused a stirring reaction online. After the game concluded, the video went viral and racked up huge numbers on Twitter. On FSU Softball’s post, there have been over 530,000 views and thousands of shares.

The NCAA Softball account jumped on the wagon and posted another angle of the incredible play. A much more cinematic and epic look showed just how impressive the play was.

FSU Softball posted an incredible photo of Muffley climbing the ladder to snatch the ball.

The ‘Noles are 2-0 at the Women’s College World Series for the first time in program history.
