Another Oregon player has hit the transfer portal.

Ducks running back Sean Dollars will look to play elsewhere in 2023. Dollars’ status was revealed by Rivals’ Transfer Portal Twitter account. They tweeted late Tuesday night, “Oregon RB Sean Dollars has entered the Transfer Portal.”

Dollars is a former four-star recruit from Santa Ana, California. He attended the famed Mater Dei High School and committed to Oregon in 2018. He played in three of his four years there but has fresh legs. Dollars has rushed just 49 times for 316 yards and has one rushing touchdown.

The 5-foot-10, 195-pound Dollars is the latest Oregon player to hit the transfer portal. Among many include their running backs. Byron Cardwell Jr. also hit the portal after underutilization in 2022 with the new coaching staff. Bucky Irving and Noah Whittington received a bulk of the carries this past season.

Wide receiver Dont’e Thornton is among the notables to transfer as well. So is former five-star linebacker Justin Flowe. Dan Lanning and Co. will have some rebuilding to do in the interim.

The CFB world reacted to the news of Dollars’ departure from Oregon.

Zachary Neel wrote, “With Sean Dollarsnow in the portal, that makes 2 RBs leaving the Ducks this year. Will Lanning bring in some RBs from the transfer portal this offseason?”
