Much of the sports world was focused on the college basketball clash between the No. 8 North Carolina Tar Heels and No. 1 Duke Blue Devils Wednesday night, and in particular, on Duke star and presumed first-overall NBA draft pick Zion Williamson. But those viewers saw something unexpected early on; Williamson leaving the game after suffering an injury, which happened after he stepped right through his shoe and crashed to the floor. Later, Duke’s men’s basketball Twitter account announced that Williamson would not return, and that the issue was with his knee:

We’ll see just how severe this winds up being, but a serious injury here could have massive implications for Williamson, for Duke’s season, and maybe even for the NBA draft. Hopefully he winds up being okay.
