Aaron Rodgers turned 40 years old back in December and has been the subject of retirement rumors and speculation for years. But it doesn’t sound like Rodgers has any plans to retire anytime soon.

During a recent interview on the “Look Into It Podcast with Eddie Bravo,” Aaron Rodgers gave an update about his recovery from his Achilles injury, and he also gave a pretty shocking answer to just how long he intends to play, shutting down any talk of his potential retirement anytime soon.

Not only has Rodgers decided not to retire anytime in the near future, but he went as far as to suggest that he could still play up to four more years in the league.

“I got back on the practice field late in the season and couldn’t get to a top speed sprinting, but really been in a good place rehab-wise, from the start, and feeling really good,” Rodgers told Bravo, according to CBS Sports. “I’m hopeful I can play two or three or four more years, but you need to have some good fortune in there too.”

Obviously, this is a pretty bold decision from Rodgers, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media.

Rodgers said back in 2022 that he would not play as long as Tom Brady. But if he truly does play four more years, he would be just one year removed from Brady when he ultimately chose to retire.
