Aaron Rodgers is still playing at a high level well into his late 30s. And after exiting from the darkness, the future Pro Football Hall of Famer decided he still had the fire in his belly, to not only put off retirement but to start a new chapter 18 years into a well-accomplished NFL career.

While Rodgers had a down year after back-to-back MVP triumphs, he played the majority of his final season in Green Bay with a broken thumb. Many have doubted that he’s still the same player that he was just a year or two ago, while that remains to be seen, it’s inarguable that he’s one of the greatest throwers of the football in modern NFL history. And a statistic that has gone viral on social media proves it.

As pointed out by Eli Berkovits on Twitter, only seven times in NFL history has a quarterback thrown 5oo or more pass attempts with five or fewer interceptions in a single season. Aaron Rodgers owns four of those seven seasons.

Wow.

Not only did that stat marvel those in the NFL world, but it’s also such a stark contrast for Jets fans, whose reality under center has been Zach Wilson for the past two years. The 23-year-old quarterback, who will now serve as Rodgers’ backup, has attempted 625 career passes and has 18 interceptions.

It’s hard to fathom that with those mind-blowing numbers, Rodgers only has one Lombardi Trophy to his name, but that’s the unfortunate reality. Obviously, he has a chance to change that with a Jets team that has been in the bottom three in turnover margin per game each of the last two seasons.
