The NFL world was rocked by tragedy on Tuesday morning as news broke that current Cincinnati Bengals offensive analyst Adam Zimmer has died at the young age of 38.
Adam Zimmer is the son of former Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer, who was also the former offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals before that. Adam Zimmer was following in his father’s footsteps with the Bengals’ offense, serving as an offensive analyst for the team this season.
Zimmer’s sister, Corri, announced his death on Instagram on Tuesday morning.
“I can’t believe I’m writing this. I lost my big brother yesterday. The kindest, sweetest, family loving, sports obsessed soul there ever was,” she wrote in the caption. “I’ve felt pain like this once before but it’s been a while and I didn’t know I was able to feel like this again. My heart is shattered and it hurts so bad. I don’t know how to juggle being a mom to one year old twin boys and the grief of losing my brother so unexpectedly. I’m so lost, I’m so overwhelmed, I’m so heartbroken.”
After the heartbreaking news reached social media, the NFL world mourned the tragic loss.

This is so heartbreaking. Adam was such a good guy and awesome to be around. We only spoke a few times but our chats were great–one exclusively about Jon Rahm's drives after he, clearly a fellow golf sicko, traveled to go see him. Just a fun dude. Praying for the family. https://t.co/AWZEZWX9CV

It’s clear that Zimmer was a kind and good man that is gone too soon. He will certainly be missed.
