This season, wide receiver AJ Brown had a breakout year for the Philadelphia Eagles as he and star quarterback Jalen Hurts became a dangerous combination that led the Eagles to a Super Bowl appearance against the Kansas City Chiefs. And after just one season playing alongside Hurts, it’s become clear that AJ Brown wants to play with him for the foreseeable future.
In fact, during an interview with Raw Room this week, AJ Brown delivered a very clear message to the Philadelphia Eagles about his future with the team, revealing that if the team does not give Jalen Hurts a long-term contract, he will not stay with the team.
“If you do not pay this man, just ship me off wherever he finna go,” Brown said in the interview, referring to Jalen Hurts. “I’m telling you. So you talk about pressure, Howie get it done.”

It’s a pretty bold statement, but it makes sense. AJ Brown clearly thrived with Hurts as his quarterback, emerging as one of the top receiving threats in the league with 88 catches for 1,496 yards and 11 touchdowns.
If the Eagles want to keep that sort of production, it’s clear that they’re also going to have to keep Hurts.
