The New Orleans Saints did not have a stellar offensive performance during Monday night’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, scoring just 13 points in the game. But even despite the lackluster performance from the team’s offense, Saints’ head coach Dennis Allen doesn’t seem ready to make a change at the quarterback position – despite cries from fans.

When asked after the game if he had given any consideration to benching starting quarterback Andy Dalton, Allen had a pretty blunt and straightforward response: “No, I didn’t.”

Allen went on to explain that he didn’t believe Dalton was the primary person to blame for the team’s offensive struggles on Monday night, acknowledging that the team was simply bad across the board.

“There was a lot that wasn’t good offensively tonight,” Allen said, according to Pro Football Talk. “There was a lot of dirty hands in that.”

Dalton finished the game 19-for-29 through the air, throwing for 210 yards and a touchdown along with one interception. He also took four sacks for 28 yards.

While the Saints were not particularly great through the air, it was actually the running game that struggled the most against the Ravens on Monday night as the team totaled just 48 yards on the ground, averaging just 3.2 yards per carry.

Even if the team did make a change at quarterback, it’s unlikely it would have fixed the rushing attack.
