For the first time since suffering a torn ACL last December, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray was a full participant in practice.

The Cardinals are taking it slow with Murray as he continues to rehab, but Wednesday marked the first time he had been a full participant this season.

Murray isn’t expected to play in Arizona’s Week 8 meeting with the Baltimore Ravens, but NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has reported that it’s possible Murray will take back the starting role from Joshua Dobbs on November 5, when Arizona plays the Cleveland Browns in Cleveland.

The Cardinals will likely look to get Murray back in the fold with as much time remaining in the season as possible, as they have two first-round picks, and both the general manager and head coach responsible for drafting Murray are no longer with the organization.

This means that Arizona has to be eager to see how the 26-year-old quarterback looks coming back from the injury. If he’s good, they can keep him (or trade him for even more picks). If he doesn’t look good, Arizona will likely be in a position to draft Caleb Williams or Drake Maye.

In four career seasons with the Cardinals, Murray has thrown for 13,848 yards and 84 touchdowns, both numbers put him at seventh in franchise history. He also won the 2019 Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
