Over the past few years, a strong complaint from Baltimore Ravens fans has been the team’s inability to surround star quarterback Lamar Jackson with talented wide receivers. But with the recent addition of veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., it appears that this might be changing.

As NFL analyst Warren Sharp points out on Twitter, Odell Beckham Jr. is by far the highest-paid wide receiver on the team since Lamar Jackson became the team’s starter during the 2019 season. Beckham, who will make $15 million guaranteed during his one-year deal with the Ravens, will make almost three times as much as the next highest-paid player Willie Snead.

“Ravens largest per-yr average $ contracts given to WRs since Lamar Jackson became starter in 2019: $15.0M – Odell Beckham Jr. ——– $ 6.0M – Willie Snead $ 5.0M – Sammy Watkins $ 3.3M – Nelson Agholor $ 3.1M – Rashod Bateman $ 2.9M – Marquise Brown $ 2.0M – Seth Roberts,” Sharp said in a tweet.

Signing Beckham to such a massive contract is a massive move for the Ravens given their reluctance to do this in the past and the NFL world had plenty to say about it on Twitter.

This could be an indication that the team is trying to make some moves to satisfy Jackson and perhaps convince him to stay in Baltimore.
