The Chicago Bears currently hold the top overall pick in the upcoming 2023 NFL Draft, but there is a very good chance that the team doesn’t keep the pick and instead trades it away to another team ahead of draft night.

According to NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Bears appear to be “leaning toward” trading the No. 1 overall pick to another team.

“Sources: The Bears already have been approached by multiple teams about trading the draft’s No. 1 overall pick, and Chicago is said to be “leaning toward” moving the pick. So the No. 1 pick now looks like it’s for sale,” Schefter said in a tweet on Monday morning.

This move would potentially make sense for the Bears, given that there are plenty of teams in desperate need of a quarterback and willing to trade up to draft one. The Bears, meanwhile, still have a young quarterback in Justin Fields who had multiple record-breaking performances for the team last season.

One way or another, it’s a big move that could shake up the upcoming NFL Draft, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it.

Obviously, there’s a long way to go before the NFL Draft, but this is certainly an interesting development that will have fans intrigued.
