Fan on field

Last week, a wild situation took place during Monday night’s NFL game between the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers when a spectator ran onto the field with pink flares in a form of protest. When security was unable to apprehend the protester quickly, Rams players Takkarist McKinley and Bobby Wagner took matters into their own hands by tackling the protester, and it looks like they might have caused a serious injury.

The protester, identified as Alexander Taylor, filed a police report after the incident with his spokesperson alleging “blatant assault” by Wagner. The police report reveals that Taylor suffered some serious injuries as a result of the incident, including a burn on his arm and a concussion.

“Mr. Taylor had a headache, concussion without loss of consciousness, and a burn on his inner right bicep,” cops said in the report, according to TMZ Sports.

The burn on his arm is likely due to the pink flare Taylor carried onto the field. The concussion, meanwhile, is due to Wagner’s tackle.

Wagner revealed after the game that he was simply helping out security by tackling the protester.

“I just saw somebody running on the field, and he looked like he wasn’t supposed to be on the field,” Wagner said after the game. “I saw security was having a little problem, so I helped him out.”

The police are continuing to investigate the incident.
